Learning languages in small groups
Our small classes allow for lively communication within the groups and thus create a pleasant learning environment which optimizes our students’ learning results. Our classes consist of max. 10 participants. Our instructors are thus able to provide intensive and individual support to our students. The size of the Mentora language classes creates a connectivity between the students which results in a trustful climate, facilitating free speech and communication.
As quality is the highest priority to us, the instructors at Mentora language school are selectively chosen through multi-lingual interviews. We include our students in the selection process by organizing trial lessons in which they can form and communicate their opinion on the prospective instructors. Our main selection criteria are academic qualification, practical experience as well as the personality of the prospective instructors.
Our course program aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. It is therefore divided into 6 course levels.
A1 – Beginner
Graduates understand and use common everyday expressions and basic phrases that aim at satisfying specific needs. They know to introduce themselves and others and how to ask questions about personal details, e.g. related to residence, acquaintances and simple information- and they can also respond to questions of this kind. Graduates thus are able to interact in a simple way, provided the interlocutor speaks slowly and clearly.

Graduates understand complete sentences and common expressions that are related to common everyday situations, e.g. personal information and basic information on the family, on shopping, work and immediate environment. They are able to communicate in routine situations where it comes to a simple exchange of information on familiar topics. They know how to use simple vocabulary to describe their environment, basic needs and to give information on their personal background and education.

Furthermore they know to report on experiences and events and to describe and explain dreams, hopes and goals as well as fixed plans and attitudes of theirs.
B2 – Independent use of language
Graduates are able to understand the essential content of texts and they are able to follow expert discussion. They speak fluently and spontaneously which allows easy conversations with native speakers. They are able to give clear and detailed information on a broad range of topics, to explain their own positions on specific issues as well as to weigh the pros and cons connected to given scenarios.
C1 – Competent use of language
Graduates are able to understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts as well as to recognize implicit meanings. They express themselves spontaneously and fluently, without much obviously searching for expressions. Their use of language is efficient and flexible, in social and professional life as well as in training and studies. They are able to formulate clear, structured and detailed statements on complex topics while connecting words and meanings correctly.
C2 – Native-like language skills
Graduates easily understand practically everything they hear or read. They are able to summarize verbal and written information and to reconstruct arguments and accounts in a coherent manner. Convenient course hours
The courses take place from 09.00 am to 12.00 pm and 06.00 pm to 09.00 pm on weekdays. Thus Mentora language school reaches different participant groups and guarantees a certain diversity in class. We also take our students’ personal schedule into consideration. Therefore, our instructors are flexible in terms of content development as well as in timing.
We combine our courses with activities outside of class, so that our students can apply the acquired knowledge. Combined with pleasure, the learning experience thus becomes more vivid and productive. The students themselves are involved in the organization of their weekly activities. They work together with the students of the other Mentora language classes and thus not only practice speaking but also learn from each other. The activities are accompanied by the Mentora language school instructors and include sightseeing and other cultural activities.
We offer courses from beginning levels to advanced levels. Our free placement test provides an initial assessment of language skills. You can either take our free placement test online or at the Mentora language school directly. The online placement test is additionally double-checked by our instructors to make sure that you are assigned to the right class.
